I have played football since I was 5 years old and have played for well known clubs, my schools and county level competitions as well as in later years played in national tournaments and events. Started coaching in 1991 at a small sided men’s team I started which turned into LEIGH CELTIC FC and this became a large part of my football life and through different leagues from 5 a side, 6 a side, 7 a side up into 11 a side. With success came the opportunity to manage THORPE ATHLETIC and coach them as well as play for them. In 2003 I coached at “HEAR WE GO” coaching children with hearing impairment after completing a FA coaching course on coaching disabled players, as I have a hearing disability myself I wanted to coach others the same. After completing my level two coaching football I moved onto my level 3 UEFA B Licence which I passed but moved on also coaching in further disability football with COLCHESTER UNITED COMMUNITY TRUST employed to coach for a season holding and producing all coaching sessions for their disability coaching school which developed into a centre of excellence.
Coached at BASILDON UNITED LADIES for four months in 2003 after passing my level 2 then left to start something of my own. Formed BASILDON TOWN LADIES with my team secretary and then manager of the new ladies team, Mr Bob Gower in May 2004. Taking the roll of Director of football for season 2004/05 after passing my level 3 (UEFA B) developed football in Basildon at this club until December 2007 and in the three years of building this club starting with one open age ladies team. I structured a growth, which took the club to five teams. We had first team ladies, reserve team ladies, U16 Girls team, U14 Girls team and U11 Girls team / development. With the first team ladies playing their football in division two of the women’s Essex league and the reserves playing in division three with all remaining teams in the Essex Girls League. I designed all coaching and club structure. And took all team coaching for the teams as follows.
BASILDON TOWN GIRLS U16 Coaching mixed age Girls team for friendly matches for season 2005/06 and continuing 2006/07 as U15 team until enough players made it possible to start two new teams from one development side, then entering the Essex Girls League for season 2007/08 in U14 & U16 sections. BASILDON TOWN GIRLS U14 Was the other side of the spit from the development side. Coaching the new U14 team to play in Essex Girl’s league in the 9-a-side section for season 2007/08.
BASILDON TOWN U11’s was a club links project with local schools and Essex FA to produce a new team for 2008/09 season, I worked with county fa to link up with schools and coach the new players while putting a coaching team together from the ladies club and having the ladies attend the level 1 coaching course for 3 ladies to coach the new team.
Started work at “FOOTY TOTS” (Academy Soccer) Soccer School in 2006 at Rayleigh (Swayne School) mixed gender ages 3 to 5 years and 18 months to 3 years every weekend starting in 2006 to present day. Coaching after school sessions at BARDFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL coaching years 5 & 6 in football and Athletics from 2007 to 2009. Progressing into other primary schools and senior schools in 2008 and now in 2010 work also for Pro-Sports Coaching, coaching football in schools and with Essex County FA covering sessions to do with further school club links.
2006 With the new secretary of Basildon Town Ladies I Started Rocket Soccer Academy Ltd in August 2006 for girls. Coaching sessions for U14 and U16 Girls (Years 7, 8, 9 & 10) with plans to coach Girls and Boys from 18 months to two years, the project attached to BASILDON TOWN LADIES and GIRLS until I resigned my post and position at the club in December 2007. Coached sessions in conjunction with FAMILY MOSAIC in 2007 for their poorer clients to give their children football, age range from 3 to 10 years mixed.
Since leaving Basildon Town Ladies Football club I also resigned from Rocket Soccer Academy Ltd. I started my level 4 (UEFA A Licence) in 2006 and after completing part one successfully, then leaving Basildon town to further my football aspirations by joining Crystal Palace Ladies FC in December 2007 taking the southern premier reserve managers job for the ladies squad until the end of the season. Then completing part two of my UEFA A Licence in 2007. Not forgetting my home town. I started and, I am secretary and first team coach for Leigh Celtic Ladies FC. Playing small-sided football and Futsal, the club is in association with Basildon Council in developing sessions for beginners in football as well as older females wishing to take up an activity for fitness. I also work for Basildon Council on Wednesday evenings running boys Futsal classes at Markham’s chase in Basildon which is also linked with my club. I also have started a Leigh Celtic U10 & U12 Girls Team for 2009/10 season to play in the Thundermite Girls League which we are in our second season starting the girls at U11. In 2008/09 season I joined Tottenham Hotspur Ladies which I was reserve team manager to their southern combination first team for 2008/09 season winning promotion in our first attempt from Div 2 to Div 1 of the greater London league and now for season 2009/10 coach at Hutton Ladies FC who play in the Essex Women’s League Div 1 aiming to win promotion to the Eastern Region league for 2010/11.
I feel I would be the perfect applicant for the roll of football coach at your great collage and I will only enhance the development and enjoy ability of your football through gender and ability as I have a very full and extensive knowledge of coaching and football. Coaching sessions through level 2 and 3 as well as coaching A licence sessions for advanced players.
